SUMMARY

THE CLARK CORPORATE OFFICE WILL ACCOMMODATE FOR FUTURE CLERICAL TRAFFIC TO AND FROM THE ADJACENT CLARK MUSEUM. THE DEVELOPMENT ALSO PROPOSES A SHARED OPEN PLAZA TO FACILITATE CONVERGENT PEDESTRIAN FLOWS.

THE PROJECT CALLS FOR A TRANSFORMATIVE SPACE THAT REESTABLISHES THE NATURAL HARMONIES OF THE SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT, ENGAGING THE POSSIBILITIES FOR EXPERIENTIAL SPACE TO OCCUR WITHIN THE GIVEN IAL CONDITIONS OF THE SITE. THIS ATTEMPT TO EXPAND BOTH THE PHYSICAL AND CONCEPTUAL TERRITORY OF THE MUSEUM IS DUE LARGELY IN PART TO A DIRECT, AXIAL VIEW TOWARDS THE EAST; BEYOND THE PARADE GROUNDS AND INTO THE HORIZON IS A GRATUITIOUS VIEW OF THE SUN SETTING BEYOND THE PEAK OF MOUNT PINATUBO.

 MUSEUM EXPANSIONS:

THE MUSEUM'S EXISTING PARKING LOT HAS BEEN EXPANDED TO ACCOMMODATE FOR 150 VEHICLES, AND IS ACCESSIBLE THROUGH EXTENSIONS OF R.C. SANTOS BLVD. AND SOUTH OSMENA BLVD. THESE STREET EXPANSIONS ALLOW FOR EASIER ACCESSIBILITY TO THE ADJACENT BUSINESSES WITHIN THE SITE .

WHAT WAS ONCE A TANDEM OF AGED, COURTYARD BENCHES IN FRONT OF CLARK MUSEUM IS NOW AN INVITING ARRANGEMENT OF OUTDOOR PUBLIC SEATING, WHICH CONNECTS INTO THE EXISTING, MULTI-USE PUBLIC SPACE THAT HOUSES A BALL COURT AND DIRECT ACCESS TO THE PARADE GROUNDS.
